Melanie Marquez is in the news again in line with the release of a book of 'melanisms': those quotable quotes that are pure comic relief. Her 'Don't judge my brother, he is not a book' comment pretty much gets bandied about, and a new one which she herself shares in her book-related interview is as hilarious: in one of her first social events as a teenage model, a duke approached her and asked for her calling card. She angrily replied, 'Why do I have to have a calling card, I'm not a call girl!'

5. My mom never gets any movie title right. Her most memorable quote involves her asking me to watch a VCD we have recently acquired with the title 'Smell of a Girl'. Racking my brains for what this film was about as I have never heard of it, I decided to look for the VCD itself to check the description. Yep, her title was close to the real thing, 'Scent of a Woman'.
